High-brightness fiber laser-pumped 68 fs-2.3 W Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:CaF2 oscillator.

By using a high-brightness fiber pump laser, we demonstrate a pure Kerr-lens mode-locked (ML) Yb:CaF(2) oscillator. High brightness single mode source of correlated photon pairs using a photonic crystal fiber.

We demonstrate a picosecond source of correlated photon pairs using a micro-structured fibre with zero dispersion around 715 nm wavelength. The fibre is pumped in the normal dispersion regime at ~708 nm and phase matching is satisfied for widely spaced parametric wavelengths.
